One of my favourite things to do each month, or anytime for that matter, is to check off lists after things are completed. It gives me a great sense of accomplishment and joy, reflecting on the past month. But because I skipped October’s Bucket List (oops), and I’m a bit late to the game in November (double oops – I blame this wonderful news for both!!), I want to bring it back to September for just a moment. Some of the things I didn’t finish, could be relevant this month!
It’s been far too long since I’ve done this. This being, pulling up a chair, grabbing a cup of tea, dreaming about what I hope to possibly achieve this month, and then writing it down for good measure. I’m bringing the habit back, ’cause it’s a good one.
I have a new hobby, and by extension, a tag line of sorts. It’s, “I’ve got an oil for that!”.
Sun burn? Lavender. Under the weather? On Guard. Sticky mess? Lemon. Headache? Peppermint. Cramps? Clary Calm. Scar? Frankincense. The list goes on! I am so thankful that my closest friends are jumping on the same bandwagon. We all have a strong desire to consume fewer chemicals, to simplify our lives, and to make our homes safe for each other and future generations.
This sweater is very old, but it’s turning into a bit of an heirloom. My mother knitted it when she was a teenager, and I’ve grown up looking at it, trying it on, wearing it to elementary school and then high school, and I continue to wear it now. Lately, however, the cat seems to have taken to pouncing on me like a woman who has just been reunited with her long lost love, so I have to be careful with it.
Many a sweater have been lost at the
hands paws of a cat.
